I really want this game to be something special. I really do. I can only hope to do it justice.

Sorry for the vent! I'm still hard at work on the game and I can't wait to finally have something playable to show off!

After Rabbit Hole, I've gotten to the point people sometimes recognize me online and I'm aware that there's at least a few hundred people who really liked rabbit hole and are waiting for what's next.

Expectations are high and I don't know if I can meet them.

Unfortunately, a structure doesn't equal a fun game. I think the scariest part is that I still really don't know if this game is any fun yet. And I won't know until a decent bit of the game is complete.

So yeah, it's normal for Necrosis Party to be in the state it's currently in. It's a much more complicated system with a lot more moving parts. This first year has been dedicated to getting those basic systems in place. Most of the structure of the project has been completed.

It's par for the course though. As simple as Rabbit Hole was, it took 4 months to get the first floor to be playable. The game was still super janky at that point and music wasn't even implemented yet. Turns out game development takes time!

Necrosis is such a departure from the stuff I usually make and it feels like I got in way over my head. Every day I make progress and it still feels like it's not enough. It feels like I should be doing way more but I also feel burnt out from the little I am doing.

The game is pretty silly when it comes to the player characters so i don't even mind. It's mostly that it's just the Michael Jackson thriller cover art and im not sure if i could legally get away with that

I wish I liked part 2. I know plenty do and I wish I could enjoy it as much as others.

I don't understand what part 2 is about. It's about a lot of things, but it also feels like a lot of those things are surface level.

My thoughts may change once I reread the full thing though.

- Asa and yoru feel undercooked as protagonists

- Nayuta was killed too early to be interesting

- Denji's growth has regressed, due to things outside of his control. Proceeds to get punished for it over and over again.

asa's character starts off great, but the story doesn't seem to know if it wants to focus on denji or her half of the time. We straight up miss the part where asa becomes popular, which should be this important moment and its completely ignored.

part 2 feels very aimless to me.

its realistic how denji falls back into his old habits, but the story punishes him extra hard despite him not really understanding what's going on.

part 2 pretty much destroys part 1's beautiful and poetic ending for the sake of torturing denji a bit more.

Anyways, season 2 is still very good and I think the final choice is really interesting on paper. In the moment, both choices are completely fair. It just the flashbacks in season 3 that ruins the overall meaning of season 2.
