This author comes to you with, admittedly, befuddled words for the story to grace this week’s pages will not spin tales of last night’s ball; no, what I pen to you is of a man, long-lost— after a lonesome and long decade, our prodigal Duke Wriothesley has returned to the Court of Fontaine! How this author used to wait for his return, and how the entire Ton has felt his absence, for with him gone, there has been a distinct lack of eligible bachelors. But, with the return of our Lord Incognito, this coming season is sure to be a wonderful spectacle. Older and distinguished, will our dearest Duke find love in a younger heart? Or will he set his sights on someone older but wiser? This author cannot wait to see. But… one must also wonder: why did the Duke leave, and why, now, has he chosen to return?
