This is no longer true. Most overdose deaths in the US are related to the use of illicit fentanyl, whether known or unknown to the user. Overall, overdose deaths are declining year-over-year.

Sadly, there are enough physicians and other non-physician “experts” willing to take advantage of their hubris to make a buck. And there is sloppy-enough regulatory oversight that many with absolutely no expertise or qualifications are apparently being allowed to practice medicine without a license.

There is no shortage of rich guys who think they know everything just because they’re good at making money. In one of the most direct examples of harm caused by Dunning-Krueger, it leads some to experiment on themselves with unproven agents like this.

A year of ophtho residency, then left and moved back to Denmark where she’s a dual citizen (guess who’s whispering in RFK Jrs ear) and got a phd in epi over 6 years, focusing on exercise physiology. Then PM&R residency in the US.

Unreliable and unqualified. I’ve had pointless back-and-forths with her on socials back when I thought such things made a difference. Look deeply into her resume and it becomes clear she is patently unqualified to be doing what she is doing.
