it’s an unfair question, (the voting is also a popularity contest, so already unfair) but will the soundtracks from the nominees in 2024 be memorable enough to think about in 2028? it’s a difficult question to answer, but for me and obviously many others, RDR1 accomplished that

RDR1 uses its score very minimally, but incredibly effectively. there is 0 music throughout the game save for some particularly powerful and poignant moments/sequences. it made enough of an impression that i still vividly remember those long horse rides 14+ years later
