Human health is not a one size fits all, and we need to do everything we can to be cognizant of this fact. I encourage everyone to try to understand the nuances of health, and to not judge. Life is hard enough as it is, especially when our biology seems to be working against us.

In 2025 medical experts agree that laziness is not an inherit cause for medical related issues and illness. Various complex factors come into play. While misunderstanding is a pert of life, the lack of compassion from the comments is what upsets me.

While I work in the video production world, I also work as a science communicator (I make educational content). I believe that I have an obligation to address scientific misunderstandings. In this case I was trying do address the misconception that people with mobility issues are lazy.

I think we are in a weird age of hero worship. Maybe we’ve always been like this, we are just seeing it more, but it concerns me.
We much create the idea of a superhero, or a white night to fix things instead of being engaged and holding politicians accountable, regardless of party.

You do know that some people have health and mobility issues right? Being lazy is not always a factor. Always approach things with compassion and understanding.

No, they are Christians. The only requirement to be a Christian is to believe you are one. Not conforming, I know, but religion is a messy double edge sword.

I love your optimism and enthusiasm, but as someone who works at a public broadcasting agency, even if every viewer did $30 a month, we still wouldn’t be able to keep the lights on. Federal funding is/was crucial, especially for smaller stations.
