Similar to your story of finding anime misfiled in the kids section, I remember staying up late Friday nights to watch anime movies on SBS. The censors just chucked "PG" on everything so that was my first experience of tentacle rape.

It's not just Alien movies, it's every horror movie ever made. Stupid people who go down the dark alley way, or investigate the noise, or forget they can turn the hallway light on. If they do those things there's not much of a story :-)
