Founded in 1990 by Donatella Flick, supporting young conductors as they begin their careers. The 18th Competition takes place 2–4 December 2025.
Day 1 of the 18th Donatella Flick LSO Conducting Competition - 20 conductors had their turn in front of the @londonsymphony.bsky.social. Day 2 and day 3 await... but unfortunately we can't say who is through because we are now 🤐 until the Sky Arts TV documentary airs in spring 2026!

It's the stuff dreams are made of... with one of our 20 competitors next week dropping out, we give a warm welcome to Ingunn Korsgård Hagen, who will join us instead. She will have had only six days to prepare. Very best of luck Ingunn!

This year's competition will be filmed for a new Sky Arts series to be broadcast next spring.
Making A Maestro will be produced by Love Monday, capturing the competition as it unfolds.
The final result will not be revealed until broadcast in spring 2026!
