The only way chicken pot pie is a fail is if it slips from your hands and falls to the floor.*. Did it taste good? Did your house smell amazing? Did you get to try something new? Are you full of new ideas? A win to the fourth power.
* my pup would call that a win, tho.

Lovely! I planted marigolds for the first time ever this year, tho my mom always bordered the vegetable garden with them. Mine were tall and vigorous, lots of branching. I don’t take good photos like yours, however, I do like this photo I snapped.

Nice! A resolution about something to bring into your life instead of avoiding. Seems aspirational and upbeat, instead of punitive.
Plus, a good idea.

At first glance I thought it was this painting!

And some are top crust only. A disappointing surprise when you flip it over onto the plate.

Didja hear it? I listened to football really loud today, so my ears might be messed up, but I swear that dog talked.

Ok, when you asked if he wanted a biscuit, I actually heard him say”I certainly do”😂. All 5 syllables.

Wild rice here is always served alongside chicken Marsala and broccoli. A visually attractive meal, and tastes great. Or if not Marsala, then saltimbocca. Enjoy! Wild rice is so good.

Worthwhile goals.

An excellent story. And good December choice. Thanks for the reminder. I try to revisit Jane Eyre every winter, and also a beloved children’s book called Half Magic, by Edward Eager. With hot cocoa, of course.

Sorry to start so far off topic but I could listen to Bennie Thompson’s voice all day. I wish he would do audiobooks.

This is an excellent interview. If only all were so direct, so plain and so measured.

Best of luck. I feel your pain.

Isn’t it great when they have a vault of treasures? What a sweetie. Our long ago Springer spaniel used to take inventory now and then, lay everything out, and then re-hide it. Spaniels are delightful. Some dodgy brain power, but delightful.

Strictly amatour. I had a few monarchs here in NY,attended a class hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension, telling how to collect caterpillars, and release. My first year I collected 38 caterpillars and 36 flew off. Pretty good survival rate. Here’s babies, and one coming out in the butterfly tent.

I totally get this. We took a chance last year with three breakable ornaments mixed in with the unbreakable. Our 12 year old kitty accepted the challenge, and was victorious.

I had one that took almost 30 days. It was so close to the end of the season. But finally! Good Luck!
