People are hurting, the world feels of chaos, whether you’re ideas are any good doesn’t matter, you’re an easy target because the perception of you is someone who has a bit of security that many of this world do not.

As a somewhat passive user here, discovery has of my tribe here has taken longer

Really depends on the use case and your comfort with xlsx. For me, it’s insane. Xlsx can be finicky to work with and starting a project with SQLite would be easier… but hey, if it works for this person and it solves a problem, fantastic.

Oh the library thing has bit me many times lately, so much that I’m reminding the LLM about the library in every prompt and pointing it to the source code.

Also, docker, LLMs hate remembering to build the containers

Reminds me of a Buckminster Fuller quote, “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete”

I paint, and I code. Personally, I find traditional realistic painting to be difficult… tho I also find digital to be difficult too. So yeah, it’s all hard and however creativity gets expressed is a win.

I agree that foundational models are not accelerating like they have, tho I think we’ll continue to seem implementation benefits of what we have today for the next few years.
