The boy and I have come down to London for the Nintendo Switch 2 event. Had a play of some of the games to be released early on. Looks good, the wheelchair basketball game is interesting to play.

Interesting news today. One of the vendors whose software we use at work went bust today. As in, no notice, everyone laid off, company gone.

We had been talking about moving from onprem to their SaaS solution. Which was switched off today.

Have you got that in YOUR risk profile?

There are some bad takes about the removal of Apple's ADP in the UK.

It is not the removal of E2EE. It means that SOME of your data in iCloud is encrypted with Apple's keys - which was always the default.

Passwords, health data, Safari browsing is not included.

Arrived in Amsterdam safely. Whilst on the train in from Schiphol, there was a ginger cat in their travel case all big eyed and curious about what was going on and I immediately miss my little guy.

Giving access to SSNs, other data on government employees to non-employees like Musk is a violation of 5 USC 552a, and carries with it a penalty of $1000 per person whose data was accessed. We are building a case. Govt employees who want to participate should contact me directly

My org has had employees using the same awful macro and VB-laden abomination of an excel workbook to submit expense claims for more than 20 years. A 500KB file which blows up to over 4GB RAM when loaded.

It's so bad, people have preferred to suck up the expenses than try and work with this thing.

Went to see 'the War of the Rohirrim' this evening. There were a couple of scenes where the animation was a bit lacking but a decent film. The boy and I quite enjoyed it.
