Cal won their final regular-season game last night, beating SMU with a touchdown in the last minute. U.C. Berkeley has a beautiful campus, including Memorial Stadium.

Sacramento's No Kings protest today had the biggest turnout of any of the rallies I've been to this year. Attendees were not limited to "old stupid white hippies" and "90-year-olds." Many youngs and POC also attended!

In the two days since Governor Newsom signed California's redistricting plan we've received two flyers opposing redistricting from shady GOP organizations. One organization is backed by right-wing billionaire Charles Munger, Jr., and the other is led by the former chair of the California GOP.

Despite Trump's "opening" of California's water earlier this year, all but one of the state's major reservoirs are above their historical averages as of April 16! Sacramento's closest reservoir is Folsom Lake.

There were at least 5,000 attendees at the Hands Off rally in Sacramento today. The crowd filled the west lawn of the Capitol.

Another day, another 50501 protest. This one was a march up and down the Capitol Mall in Sacramento. There were probably more than 2,000 attendees. Not bad for a Tuesday.

We went to the 50501 rally at the Capitol in Sacramento today. The crowd was loud but very polite. I would estimate 2,000 people were there, a much larger number than attended the February 5 rally.

I just sent this message to my representative in California's State Assembly. I would also send it to my member of the State Senate, but he's a Republican, so it would probably only trigger death threats.

Hiking at Hetch Hetchy has long been on my bucket list, and today I was able to check off that item. We hiked along the reservoir to (dry) Tueeulala Falls, then had to turn around because the Wapama Falls bridge was out. We didn't see another person on our hike, and the weather was perfect.
