Back in the day, I worked in our local diner and it was the heart of our town. You could set your watch on the men who came in every day to sit at the counter, drink coffee, gossip and bring the family for Fish Fry Friday/Sun breakfast My daughter did a college paper and called it The Butt Ruts.
