Had no idea about stopping up orders - very interesting! I was 7 in '76, can remember a few places on Gorton Road that aren't there now, struggling to remember there, though. Checked an early-80s A-Z and it's gone, but it's there on an earlier map: maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/...

That might be Schofield Street in Reddish. (The exchange code for Heaton Moor is 432). Oddly enough, I grew up less than a mile from there. I remember Anderson's on the next street along - this might be useful: imagearchive.stockport.gov.uk/Home/Photogr...

This chart (which applies even more to social media than it did to TV) lives in my head rent free.

Social media enveloping traditional media means everything and everyone is now competing in the entertainment market. Boring stuff like policy that affects millions of lives doesn’t stand a chance.
