Thanks for the background. The "biz" part of the publishing biz is all a great mystery. But if my preferred indie is selling for the same price (or close to), I'm going there. Amazon gets enough of my money.

I realize the inclusion of a link to the publisher may be a mild tell, especially in this particular case, but as general rule is it better for the author for buyers to purchase directly from a publisher or from a favorite indie bookshop? Trying to spread the good cheer around...

I know it's catty AF, but is it wrong to want for a day when our "leaders" spend more time, you know, leading than they do in hair and makeup? Starting with a POTUS and SecDef?

WTAF? Takes a special kind of ego to presume the guy who made his bones as "Chief GD Copy Editor" is paying attention to neither the copy nor the editing of his own statements.

It seems like this line from his Hannity interview about J6 was him describing his entire ethos around putting any effort into leading: "It would be very, very cumbersome to go and look – you know how many people we’re talking about? 1,500 people."
