Big thing to note is this is ONLY which of the competitive areas had union coverage. The ones that didn't are still fair game. This shows me they are planning to cut everything. Individual refuges were listed for cuts in this release.

I've heard similar, same about the politicals he brought with him. I don't believe based on the trump track record but we will see. There are major decisions he's going to have to make pretty soon.

I get where you're coming from. But to me, ICE is very much the face to a burgeoning authoritarian regime. An agency not afraid of accountability isn't wearing masks on the streets. If you put on the gestapo uniform, you are the gestapo. At this point, if they haven't quit theyre complicit.

I respect your opinion, but strongly disagree. If you're still wearing your ice uniform and mask and rolling around abducting people you deserve the vitriol and worse. There's a choice you can make, and they made it. They're well outside of any moral gray area.

Rand Paul is saying the right thing but for the wrong reason. He loves all the cuts, just not the debt ceiling increase.

That is absolutely insane. They were taking people out of consolidated positions to move them to critical vacancies, but now those transfers get ripped away so they can be fired?

No. It's to match people to different jobs that fit the "priorities of the department" better than their current positions that may be removed. It's already started with some groups that are getting defunded, and some hr people that would have been wrapped up into DOI.
