It's important to have a diverse and flourishing media ecosystem for capitalism based democracies to work. Competition is the sunlight every one needs.
There will be a lot of growth in podcasts and new journalism in the next decade. It will become like NBA sports teams with a galaxy of journalists n talk show people going independent or coming together in small groups to do their own thing.

For the first time Americans are following the German election. The center left lost major vote share to the classical conservative (CDU) and the far right (AfD). The FDP centrists (yellow) also gained. Paradoxically, the left (purple) also 2x share?

Why a stable global order and trade matter. 28 percent of S&P500 revenue comes from outside US. Less international revenue. Lower stock market. Skinny 401K. Lower wealth.

To assess prosperity, real median household income is a pretty useful metric. One can see the difference in this chart between GDP / Capita and what the 50th percentile household earned in LAST 45 years. The gap is obvious.
