Need suits brought against appointees in their personal capacity. There have been enough 4th amendment violations noted now that their actions are clearly knowing, deliberate, and beyond the scope of the Constitution/employment. Don't have to win; just make them play defense every single day.

W did the same with the treatment for my dad's cancer, capitulating to GOP "pro-life" interests opposing stem cell work in a budget fight. They delayed the test trials of what is now the standard and fairly effective treatment

there are restrictions on many if not all federal employees in terms of outside employment while on furlough. "I'm not going to pay you and, oh by the way, I control what you can and can't do for a job in the interim" won't fly in court. every day under current law is a day they'll be paid

I don't think they would go bankrupt at all. They'll get pro bono from someone who wants an easy high profile win. Keep it simple; here's what they did (w/ media clips); copy 2 sentences from NRA v. Vullo; ask for relief; give the proceeds to charity. SCOTUS did not exempt POTUS from civil action.

I don't think 97% bad is much of a reach re: his performance. Probably 80% bad the first go-round...he's definitely worse now.

my uneducated guess is SCOTUS will require the tariffs be temporary, perhaps with date certain, and not exceed the HTS. Trump will need congressional legislation to do otherwise. Increasing rates of inflation will put congress between a rock and a hard place to pull it off

MAGA has opened the door for Dems to be the party of responsibility and individual liberty. They need to take advantage of that with independents and traditional Rs and run with it. Part of getting their vote is not speaking in culture warrior or academic code.

This makes his point...the insulting or better than thou lecture isn't going work on someone else any more than theirs works on me. If I want to win I need others to change their minds (or at least stay home). Either I want my opponents to listen to my case or I don't.

The ask is for leadership to become more effective at communicating...read the room...use everyday language that doesn't require walking on eggshells. If the unspoken message is "I'm better than you" or "you are a stupid/bad person" it fails. If I have to look up "cisgendered", it also fails.
