Been three (three!) months since my internship started — and still getting used to the office life. (I’ve freelanced longer but unseriously.)

I feel like deleting my OG public Twitter account has very much transformed how I use text-based social media — mostly in terms of what I do and don’t share publicly, which feels a bit odd.

Two weeks ago, Jewish Currents interviewed three doctors in Gaza to show the world the direness of their situation. The story was just updated to reflect one of the doctors was killed by an airstrike in his own home, making this quote even more gutting. jewishcurrents.org/we-have-lost...

Been tweeting more on the bird app but (my) 2 books to get you started on understanding 🍉🇵🇸 are Rashid Khalidi’s The Hundred Year Wars on Palestine & Ilan Pappe’s 10 Myths about Israel. (Bonus is Nur Masalha’s Palestine: A Four Thousand Year History. So 3 books!)

Finally at the finish line of Netflix’s First Love 初恋 (ok I got the right kanji!) — it’s shot so beautifully and every moment was so visually pleasing. But also extra props to the young Yae and Harumichi actors, because they mirror their elder versions so well but without straight up imitating them.

A little out of nowhere, but I resent people’s well-intentioned attempts to matchmake me, especially when I’m reaching 30 next year — being single is merely another human condition. I refuse to be pressured into coupling up just because I don’t want to third/fourth wheel.

Have been on a HK-centric reading phase recently — tbh discovering the Umbrella Movement protests in (my first) uni back then was quite fundamental to my advocacy journey!
