Confess to be rooting for the Ravens in that one. (Never have liked teams from Pittsburgh. I'm so old, I remember when the Pirates used to always just beat out the Cards for first place in the Eastern Division. And then hated the Penguins.)

I have a second favorite, the Blues, who were my team until the Caps showed up. But I root for anyone against Pittsburgh. (For the record, I used to hate the Pittsburgh Pirates, back when they were actually good so it was easy to hate the Pens too.)

And then the rules say that at least three teams from each division must make the playoffs. So we have some weak entries in the WC Finals. If the Avalanche somehow get halaked early, the playoffs would be sheer chaos.

Sort of fitting. Meanwhile, his original last name, Drumpf, sounds so similar to dump and could be used in the context "take a drumpf".

The NHL standings are insane these days. We have three teams in the Central who are better than any of the teams in any of the other 3 divisions. While the Pacific Division is just ... bad. Oilers, despite their roster flaws in first. Vegas in 2nd and both will make playoffs.

Is that part of their plan for reducing the US population?

I don't. Given that his opinion of "anti-American" sentiment is anything that does not give him unconditional praise.

Of course, I want to make jokes about her being a very "unaware" person.

I LOL'ed at your reply. Her maiden name was Unnewehr which is German for "undefended". Well, nobody defended her when she was forced to sell.

There are times I wonder if Marge Schott, the Cincinnati Reds owner who was forced to sell the Reds since she had expressed pro-Nazi views but thought Hitler went too far. She'd probably get elected as Republican these days.

Selling pardons is like selling indulgences back in the late Middle ages.

She is the Weisswascher of CBS News. Note: Weiss means "White" in German. Wascher is washer in German.

Yup. And now I'm living in the equivalent of a Iron Curtain country in Eastern Europe during the 50's and 60's. Internet Free Canada coming soon.

Current Congress is truly the opposite of progress. They make the "Do Nothing" Congress under Harry Truman look productive by comparison.

She is the Weisswascher of CBS News

The Weisswaschung of CBS. Note: Weiss means "white" in German. Waschung is German for washing when washing is used as a noun.

The Whitewasher herself. Her last name is German for "white"
December 22, 2025 at 2:58 AM
The Weisswaschung of CBS. Note: Weiss means "white" in German. And "Waschung" is "washing" used as a noun in German.
