I'm a liberal nomad looking for a new online community after Facebook's self immolation. Let's make this work!
Then give details on what is wrong with Medicare Advantage. Everyone I know that's on it says it's great. These posts against it never give any details about specifically what's wrong with it.

Would you stop with the "do your rest" stuff! If you're going to announce Advantage Plans are bad, give concrete examples as to why or don't say it. I gave concrete examples of why I've found them to be better than traditional Medicare.

Thank you for this thread! I've been saying this for awhile, but you put it more eloquently.

I have twin 3-year-old grandsons. I'd rather be tied to a chair with BOTH of them playing with loaded pistols. At least I can reason with them.

Is there some data on this? People keep saying that but showing no evidence of it. If really like to know exactly what it is they're not covering.

But we know that's not going to keep him from the job. I think it would be much more effective to focus the questioning on how deeply unqualified he is. Those would be more serious questions. I feel like Dems keep tilting at windmills instead of going for the jugular.

It's what you do when you don't have a heart to put your hand over.

Or directly address the grifting of the advantage plans with reforms. Do THAT before trying to ruin us off from great health care coverage

The truth is, a lot of us just can't afford traditional Medicare, and this WORKS for us. Instead of trying to scare everyone away from it, maybe the better plan would be to shore up traditional Medicare to be as robust as these plans, without the grifting.

Wrong.

And yet, my Advantage Plan is the best insurance I've ever had. By far. Regular Medicare cost me much more and had none of the extra benefits of an advantage plan. I just got new glasses; I paid $33. I'm about to have dental work that I've needed for many years but couldn't begin to afford.

Was that on Blue Sky? Hopefully that won't happen here.
