Usually it's a player who can do just one thing well on the field and is not well rounded. One freakish trait but lacking in others. Other teams will stay away as a result. Belichek turned these guys into stars by giving them one job and schemed so their weakness would be covered by others

Hated Belichek and the Pats, but he was brilliant at making the complex simple, and making scheme specific players no one else wanted stars by giving them simple things to do and yelling "do you job"
