Books read in May. Birding is a stunning novel. Monsters is a thought provoking look at difficult artists. Another Planet is a great memoir. And despite not being my taste in music Reach for the Stars is a really fun well written read.

A compassionate, empathetic thoughtful novel. Focussing on unique yet recognisable characters. You might walk by them in the street and wonder... "What's their story?" @regretteruane.bsky.social will tell you. One of my favourite books I've read in a long time.

April reads. Erotic Vagrancy was brilliant, The Marriage Portrait was a fantastic read, and The End of Reality confirms your wildest fears.

The books I read in November. Beatlebone, Happiness and Tears and Dracula were all great. The Sound of Being Human was a lovely lovely book.

September books read. I enjoyed them all to a degree but The Cracked Mirror was an absolute rollercoaster ride of a book. H/T to @backlisted.bsky.social for The Dud Avocado.

The Beatles Red album sounds fantastic. I'm starting a petition to get Giles Martin to do Stay With The Hollies next.

I read lots of music books in October. So nothing unusual there. All these were pretty good.
