What pretentious macho nonsense. Why on earth should theatre make people feel 'uncomfortable'? Theatre should simply make people *feel*, full stop. Content warnings don't mollycoddle - they calibrate expectations. Not everyone wants to spend £75 to relive their rape in a crowded room.

The news cycle is plenty big enough to accommodate the end of the world order AND an embarrassing number of people searching for the video of Vicky B dry humping her own son and I don't want to live in a world where these two things are incompatible. ;-)

I'm not sure it has a repellant effect on people planning to vote for Reform. They either actively agree with him or just don't care.

YES. Why are so many people unable to work...? Could it be that the modelling on the consequences of lockdown literally foretold this? No - must be mass lead swinging... It's like a vast chunk of the population has amnesia.

My lack of enthusiasm for Starmer isn't a reflection of how well I think he's doing. He's not the left-leaning leader I'd have wanted, but that was apparent before the ballot/my vote. I dislike a fair few of his policies. But I think he's doing a good job, and I hope I see more 'Labour' over time.

The biggest surprise in all this is that you only just got speed cameras over there. They've been flashing us over here in the UK for decades.

When robots are doing everything from our job, to the acts of thoughtfulness that used to let those around us know that we cared - planning a party, choosing a gift - or the things that are actually fun, like planning trips... When that happens, what do WE do?
