Plus, the whole cross-check to the face thing...
April 24, 2025 at 1:54 AM
So now, both Gallagher and Caufield have taken cross-checks to the face with exactly 0 penalty minutes handed out as a result.

I expected nothing less after Gallagher was cross-checked in the face in the 1st period in front of the referee, and no call.

Laine was interfered with, which didn't allow hip to play a pass from his own zone. The linesman still called icing, though on a play like that they normally waive it off.

How do they call the icing if the Caps player interferes with Laine's ability to play the puck? 🤔
Habs got burned on that call.

It doesn't seem to hurt as much when it's the all-time NHL goal scorer burning you—it's what he does—but he's also the guy who should draw the most attention. Hutson didn't pick him up, and game over.
They'll learn.

Officiating was questionable tonight. From the moment that Gallager took that cross-check to the face in the scrum without a call, you knew it would be inconsistent.

It doesn't matter. Every time he opens his mouth, he's annoying.

Thank you, Mr. Prime Minister!

Youngest team to have ever qualified for the playoffs, with an average age of 25.6 years.
They were predicted to be a bottom-5 team with 75 points, and ended the season with 91!

Youngest team ever to have qualified for the playoffs! That rebuild is well ahead of schedule!
