I also wouldn't be surprised if most of them know this is bad for the party as a whole, but also know that the first few people who speak out against this will get personally wrecked by their base.

imo their biggest problem right now is that the only people who actually know what the Democrat demands actually are is the hyper online 0.01% that follow senate minutiae, they really need to get better at getting the message out to the wider public with snazzy slogans or something

Not just debugging, but also writing maintainable code in the first place with standards and style consistent with the rest of the codebase, so that when you inevitably get re-orged the next person can quickly understand how everything works, making changes that won't introduce surprise bugs
