Yeah. Absolutely this. Honestly, this place could have been amazing if the owners hadn't yet again turned out to be prejudiced 🙄 this format works so well, and if there's a robust block feature then it's easy to keep the trolls at bay.

Yeah, I am hearing nothing actually good about Mastodon. The best I'm hearing is 'it's fine!' or 'I quite like it, but it's really slow and quiet' so I think I'll not be moving there when I move on. Thank you for letting me know your experience with it!

Yeah, I suspect I'm not gonna like the format of Mastodon either. Like I could never get into Tumblr.
I also like Discord, but find it better for direct messaging and small groups.
I'm guessing Pillowfort is like Dreamwidth? Love that format but yep, nobody uses them now.

Thank you, this is really helpful. In terms of toxic stuff- I mean, that's just everywhere. Is there any moderation, can you block people? I'd ideally like a bit of a sales platform but tbh having a public sm to talk about projects etc is more important. Ngl the tech angle puts me off.
