I really don’t want to be taken the wrong way here, I’d like an actual trans person’s opinion on this, if you’ve seen the movie of course. I means, the antagonists even keep citing “common sense” as if that were a meaningful argument, you must at least see where I got this idea.

But the conceit of the film purports that, irrespective of the legal precedent, this man claims to be Santa, he acts like Santa, and preforms tasks indistinguishable from Santa Claus. Could this not be (liberally) interpreted as thematically similar? I’m not trans myself, this is an honest question.
