It was a blast to attend the GeoPython 2025! The talks were super interesting, now that I’m going through some notes. And what a gorgeous city is Basel 😁

And as a side note, the School of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geomatics of FHNW is an incredible building 😍

This week I’m in Basel for the GeoPython 2025 – I’m giving a talk tomorrow on scaling traditional geospatial techniques to the cloud. Let me know if anyone is around! 🌍

A week ago I received my new Glove80: a split, ortholinear keyboard. It's a beautiful machine, it's just a shame that I don't know how to use it. I am learning how to touch type *properly* and... it's more or less working, but it's a struggle

First day of advent means first day of #cafendario, a coffee advent calendar with 24 coffees from Spanish roasters. First one: Kenia Kiagundu AA from Amauta Coffee Roasters. So full and rich, almost buttery, with a slight fermented tang. Amazing ☕️

I think I’ve never posted about it, but I have been shooting film photography for several years now, and this little toy is my pride and joy. I’m taking a roll to be developed just today, so expect results in a week or so 🎞️

After a week testing Bluesky, I think we can make it official. I just pushed the change to replace the Mastodon link for the Bluesky one in the nav bar of my blog, diego.codes

I didn't knew I could use GREATEST for pattern-matching columns like this in BigQuery, and I was pleasantly surprised 👏

After moving recently, I just configured again my Homebridge setup to control dumb devices from
Apple Home (including my place’s air conditioner). Reverse engineering the codes is a chore but absolutely worth it. If you are interested, I left some notes here: diegovicente.notion.site/Configuring-...
