Average age of the house is 58 and the senate is 64. I could run for office, but given the fact that the dems have a certain orthodoxy which I do not follow, it would be a bad play. I help at the local level where I can

Generally agree with your point that we need everyone. I think the old senators can serve a better purpose than being office, especially considering the information landscape we have now. They are woefully unprepared

Sharp as a tack and the ability to be a politician of a country of 330 million people are completely different concepts. Old people need to be pushed out of politics
