Got my first book deal by tweeting at an author "someone should write a book like this" and he responded "you should write a book like that" and tagged his acquisitions editor.

Has anything great happened in your life because of social media?

If you wait for regulators, really shitty people will make less money.

Why do you hate capitalisms?

I last went 3 years ago (Louder than Life in Louisville), they still got it. I get fed a steady stream of current concert videos on youtube.

Congrats on those great seats.

Such an awesome show live. I've seen them 8 or 9 times.. I keep talking myself out of this tour as I'm now an old.

Tired: Got jobs. Got better at my jobs.

Wired: Found community. Learned about things I'd have never been exposed to without it. Enjoyed quite a few of them!

GalaxyBrained: Got laid.
(Also met my wife, but that was after I mostly used it for the more prurient purposes (love you honey!))

Shitting GenAI picture of a woman labelled '300 lbs' with a bag weighing 49lbs in front of a smiling person behind a desk, beside a woman labelled 120lbs with a bag weighing 51lbs with an angry person behind the desk.

If you invest any time in the show there are definitely a few episodes that will turn you into a puddle. That's totally valid.

What a good idea. And your dogs are awesome.

This should be the definition beside the "Thanks, I hate it." gif

I can't help but think that show is going to make a -lot- of much better parents.

using this chart I found via google... I deduced that Charlie is actually my 3rd Cousin, Twice Removed. Not 2nd Cousin. Basically not related at all, yet here we are.
cousin - removed chart. Found via google.
Going up and down 6 generations.

We had luggage for 3, a costco run for 12 people in a cabin, all that did not reach above to the back of the seats and the greyhound had 2 full beds and her own wing to explore.

so this is going to sound weird coming from a 53 year old childless man... but have you seen Bluey?

Makes sense to me, lynx was the text only web browser... it looked a lot like PINE (Pine is not ELM).

I wish I didn't remember the old internet.

I got 'upgraded' to one of those back in January. It was like driving a school bus. (but it was quite comfy)

So, I’m doing a fun family thing I’ll likely post more about next week. But one of the bits of it involve a 40 year old vanity press book by my 2nd cousin from 40 years ago.

The technical section made me snort.
sequel in the future, and these children will already be indexed.

This paragraph is for the benefit of technical minded readers and future historians. This book was compiled and edited on a Commodore 64 computer, using PAPERCLIP 64 word processing program. Each personal file was amended into a longer file which, due to limited computer memory, consisted of about eight pages. PAPERCLIP will link these eight-page files into a global file, and this global file was used to prepare the camera-ready copy. There will be at least three copies of complete sets of the disks used in this edition distributed to interested family
distributed members, with one set belonging to my younger son Theodore who presently ( 1988) lives in
Lexington, KY.

Restricted permission is hereby granted to copy any part of this book, the restriction being that I would appreciate credits as the researcher. Leather bound “Churchmans of Kentucky“ book.
