just call me Диги. Sometimes I suspend my disbelief to counteract the feelings of impending doom.
Thank you for this! Feels very on point, indeed, like exactly where things are going with generative crap.

I hate that we'll probably go through a long period of forgettable slop before corporations realize what people have been telling them from the start.

Unfortunately, no matter how bad the bubble pops, pockets of the tech will continue to exist, especially if you are motivated and willing to pay.

It may even create a worse situation - when half the videos online are fake, people stay vigilant, but if it's rare it's easier to slip misinformation.

My guess is it also searches in the game's description and this part of Elden Ring's description is the reason for the third screenshot above.

Looks like they don't escape the input properly and it results in some weird pattern matching. Last one is *chef's kiss*

Git gud.

(I'm sorry. It was too tempting. An easy shot.)

We had a taste of the speculation previously when people were making random X/Y/Z "with Blockchain!", but now the concept is simultaneously more nebulous and more tangible (chatbots/assistants), so it's much easier to slap it on anything and get non-tech people on board. Speculation dream come true.

It's not even Gamurs - they suck, but they sold it before that dive. Given that the videos feature Adin Ross, xQc and Trainwreckstv, I strongly suspect the "private investor" is closely related to Kick/Stake.com

Yeah, that seems to be the case, but I was unaware of this one so I wanted to share, in case others have missed it :)

Through a completely different thread I learned about this button and the "Ignore this creator" option!

(Disclaimer: The publisher displayed below was selected completely at random for illustrative purposes. I'm not suggesting people should ignore that publisher. I also have a bridge to sell.)

It was my first guess, but I'm on Android as well. The app is updated. No other ideas :)
December 10, 2025 at 8:04 PM
Huh, this looks slightly different on my phone (Android) and that bar with the gear is completely missing.

I'm pretty sure that's G-Man squinting at me.

At my job, we are an entire team of 5 doing just that. Creatively named R&D so you can throw any problem at us and/or blame us for things not working. Upper management keeps saying our work should be more visible, yet everything grinds to a halt if we stop doing it.

Oh, great, this should come in handy for my upcoming Christmas Week of Brotherly Co-op! :D Finding enough couch co-op games on Steam is always a challenge.
December 9, 2025 at 8:49 PM
It would be useful in general, but in this case it's the only game of a self-published developer and there are thousands of those on Steam. With genAI those will probably balloon tenfold, many without AI disclaimers, making it impossible to discover tiny gems ;/

This would make a great kaiju movie :)

Very flexible system indeed, even when cases become more complicated. Didn't expect the "piss on a wall" behavior to be such a great example of it 😄
December 8, 2025 at 10:02 AM
I'm so curious to know - if a piss puddle disappears, will an NPC that was previously disgusted by FindPiss, piss in the same spot because said NPC is not tagged HasPissed?

Sounds like an edge case and there are always a million of those if you poke enough, which my brain can't resist doing.
