i know the manga regularly acts like they cant return to china because it would be too expensive or swimming back would be too challenging, but i do like this reading a lot.

and the only other one i see friends using is instagram but like im not an image-based poster and its facebook/meta so all the settings and "you should link your facebook" are annoying

evil mastermind or just eviler in general? i can put in some hours as a henchling if needed, but only under a volunteer capacity. a part time job would be a bit too much of a commitment at this time. plus liability and whatnot

im not gonna pretend im an alt text guru, but like if you cant even handle helping people learn how to do it then why are you bothering them? they didnt come to you for help so dont half ass the job!

if your goal is to make images more accessible, especially for people with visual disabilities, you should say more than "include any alt text" you should also recommend how to do it, like what punctuation matters and how. i could do alt text with zero punctuation and that might not even be helpful!

if you are going to go out of your way to bother someone about NOT using alt text, then be willing to invest the time in helping them learn about helpful tools and features. and not just the "require before posting" feature! explain how it improves searchability! or what key phrases to use!
