Building Amounthly - subscription management tool.

🏃‍♂️https://racecalendar.bg $300/rev
🔢 https://amounthly.com (new)
On the left:
- Next.js 16 + supabase + Vercel
- fetching 2 items from a table with 7 records
- no indexes, nothing special
- takes 1.2s on average 🤯

My Next.js app is very slow 🐌

Time to figure out caching and how caching works in Next.js 💾

Sometimes I regret following the trend and choosing Next.js 🥲

Ops, I finally fixed the Google Login screen with adding the Branding

I knew it was possible but never spend the time to fix this
December 27, 2025 at 8:36 AM
I finally started using my own product amounthly.com

I found so many things to improve

I guess that is the biggest advantage of building something you actually need and want

What do you use for uptime monitoring?

I started using UptimeRobot

I see Sentry also offers it

Who else can I check out?

Who is doing the Festive500 during the holidays?

If you know what that is, let's connect - we have a common interest 😅

It is almost the end of the year

Almost every product now sends you recaps of some sort

So many stats to absorb... if you care

I miss the times when we were doing things for the sake of the actual thing and not for streaks, badges and stats 😔

I wrote 150 lines of T-SQL by hand

The goal of the script:
- to make bunch of IDs with auto increment identity
- they were also part of bunch of foreign keys

It took me 1h to write it
AI couldn't help

Interesting times - we now celebrate when we write code without AI 🤦‍♂️

6 years ago I made the mistake to create some of my tables with Id primary key but not as an incremental identity

There was a reason for that back then

Now, I want to change that

It is not fun as those tables have references to other tables, not sure yet if this will work 🤞

Fridays are for going out in the forest

Not having a 9-5 has its perks

I am going to miss those

Have you ever submitted a sitemap with 900+ links to Google Search Console?

The long story:
I have a website with 1000+ running races and none of the links for the races were indexed by google, and I didn't care

Until now

So I am trying to upload the sitemap with all the pages and see

🚀 New subscriber alert 🚀

How did I get this one:
- saw an expired checkout in polar.sh
- decided to write a personal email to ask why
- today he subscribed

The takeaway: remind people of your product when they once clicked PAY

How do you copy files to your server (VPS)?

I am using Cyberduck

Are there better alternatives to it?

Built my portfolio website for my company in 10 minutes with Cursor

Just so the domain I already have doesn't stay empty

I might play around with the logo a bit
December 15, 2025 at 7:41 PM
You can actually tell Cursor to fetch the OG image and the meta data from any website

I am doing a portfolio website for my projects and was lazy to add the images and the text, so asked Cursor to fetch them

And it worked

Lately, I started considering more seriously starting my next project with a co-founder or at least another person involved in it ... somehow

I got inspired by Tibo, I don't think he has a product that he is doing it alone

F*** it, I removed the magic link login

I ended up with 160+ "users" but only 2 of them actually registered

I might add a username/password login but just more for the sake of playing around with it, not that I accept users using it
December 11, 2025 at 8:22 PM
I am going to remove the magic link log-in and here is why:

- I have sent 100+ emails to all the people that typed their email for the magic link but never registered as a user
- 3 unsubscribed
- 7 marked it as spam

I feel most of the indie makers are creating products around growing and promoting other products?

Launching platforms, SEO tools, growing on X, reddit, leads, marketing, backlinks, etc.

Few are building products with a different purpose than that - curious why is that?
