6 months of silence explained 👶

New dad life hit different:

• Baby needs
• 9-5 grind
• Family time

Too many balls, dropped the being public part.
But kept building in the shadows.
Now things are settling. Time to build in public again.

Fellow parent builders - how do you juggle it all?

Last week with Claude 3.7 Sonnet in max mode felt like rolling dice—would it get me or not?
This weekend, I switched to Claude 4 Sonnet (wo max mode) and wow, it was seamless magic. The identical prompts flew, turbocharging my development speed by a factor of ten.

I'm currently diving into the MCP topic and am impressed by the numerous directories, services, and servers already available!

Despite these many options, I haven't found an MCP server that can connect to a MySQL database via SSL.

🤝 if people vibe with it, talk to them and get their feedback
🔄 adjust your solution

do that over time, and you can't lose.

Balancing a side hustle and main hustle?

📊 Planning is key—but execution matters more. ✅ That’s why the two most productive hours before the main hustle are dedicated to the side hustle.

Want to achieve excellence at a skill? Simple algorithm: 🧠

1: if (think_you_dont_suck) {
2: seek_honest_feedback();
3: goto 1; // Stay humble, keep checking!
4: }

The hardest part? Honest feedback hurts but transforms.

If you want to do something and realize you suck at it on your first try, just keep going until others ask how you’re doing it.

Since I began posting critical views on Vibe coding, I've noticed a drop in followers. Are people uninterested in hearing about negative experiences with hyped trends? 🤔

Vibe coding, at its current stage, is only capable of accelerating your coding skills, but if you don't have any, you will need a lot of passion to achieve good results.

Today, I switched from handing over whole tasks and hoping for a one-shot wonder to writing a big part of the code myself and only asking for options or fixing random errors, and the productivity skyrocketed. 🚀

Vibe coding is like hiring a junior management consultant to code 👔
You get:

⚡ Lightning fast delivery
✨ Shiny self-congratulatory presentation
⚙️'Working' solution (air quotes needed)
💯 Confidence level: 100%

Reality: 40% works, 60% smoke & mirrors

What's your vibe-coding-to-debugging ratio?

After removing the paywall and lacking sufficient traffic for ads, what other form of monetization would you choose?

🚽This tip saved me a lot of awkward moments in the shared flat:

Always keep two toilet paper rolls in the bathroom: one active and one spare. When the active roll is done, activate the spare roll and replace it immediately. This avoids awkward trips or asking your roommate for a roll mid-sit. 🧻
