Sun, where have you been all my life

Deep in the Winter grind. Feeling every inch my age. My right hip is randomly agony. Right hip f*cked ❌ Left hip f*cked ❌ Left knee f*cked ❌. I can barely walk; in need of constant naps, yet appears only thing my body is capable of now is long-distance cycles

Pssst, follow me - the weekend is this way…

Late in the Season the Emmer Green perma-puddle is starting to take shape. Fortunately, S Oxon council put the work in over summer when they put in a flood sign.

My Hungarian less done + half my Welsh homework done for the week.

But my biggest compliment earlier was overhearing a French person tell another my French was good (I’m conversational not fluent). There is nothing ppl take so well as trying to speak their language; it’s a sign of good faith

Developments over lunch proved rather disappointing

Don’t watch TV so much. Back in the Noughties my PhD that never was, was about male bodies in Millennial apocalypse narratives. 2 y a I told a friend & they said I shd watch Stranger Things. Streamed & loved it. The anxiety at the heart of the STs apocalypse is about the bleeding of categories

Looking for ways to get out of work tomorrow and I’m low on time

What do the last 4 tracks on your playlist say about you…? (If anything)

Apple Music’s algorithm got me as proper moody but I’m not sure it’s picking up my eclecticism

That’s cracking!

That must be painful

It’s the white signal that is not so good. Permanent bone injury from pulling 80-100k/wk during Lockdown

Winter scenes

The dripping of trees and the squelchy slipping of leaves

So tired, I woke up at 12.30. Nearly didn’t get out as little time left but every turn of the cranks is a little further forward

It’s been a troubling sky reflected in standing water kind of day

This time of year and in the dark I can get so wrapped up in my thoughts that when I come to on some generic country road I literally have no idea where I am for a moment

Quite disconcerting

I blame Climate Change

Fearful Symmetries

Home by the river on a clear winter night; we are deep in it now chaps…

This feels like old news; I swear I recall a section on Blue Peter, in the late 70s or early 80s about a population of Wallabies. I remember them shivering in the snow and it looked rather out of place.

Meanwhile the Beast of the Chilterns!!

The canteen I am at appears to have created quantum vegetables that are both a solid and a fluid all at once

My moment in the Light for the day.

The attentional life. On my 4th set of headphones since Jul. Bought them y’day; lost them by today. So no music on the commute. Just quiet

The parakeets were screaming in Dunesden. It was like the opening scene of Donnie Darko. Minus Echo and the Bunnymen

December and still got chilies coming out of the garden! Surely that’s some sort of world record
