Mother Nature added a family of Cooper's Hawks to the Raptors hunting around my cul de sac.
The eagle that won that aerial duel has been hunting from the trees around my yard ever since. It's limited to fall and winter due to the heavy foliage.

I had to do a double take because it looks like my backyard! This flock moved in when the clearcut their roosting are to build houses.

It needed a break after it lost a territorial dispute. It choose my backyard.

More than likely he was neutered and released. I've got about 5 cats like that in my neighborhood. The 6th one moved in during the tropical storm that scourged the east coast in Sep 2023. I think it's a nonprofit that I called seeking help spaying a cat several years ago. They have my address. 😂

Yep. Western Europe if rife with the Roman ruins. I saw my first Roman road in Umm Qais, Jordan. The wheel ruts in the stones were so deep I found it hard to fathom how many centuries it took to dig that deep into solid stone. My favorite, the Marienberg Fortress in Würzburg is older than America.

I thought I had lost this critter in January when we had over three weeks of below freezing weather. Nope, alive, well and still hungry.

I flew in to Massum Ghar on 6 Nov 2011. No mistaking who established the FOB. Maybe @POTUS should get a briefing on NATO engagement before he opens his mouth.

This one contracted the Mange and lost a lot of its fur. I put food out, but I think it may have died during the three week freeze we had in the DC area last month.

It's a 2-way street. I thought my cat was ignoring me b/c he would turn his back to me. Actually, he was asking me to follow him.
