The US is uniquely positioned to allow for innovation it’s unfeasible to brilliant minds for ambitious projects in other worlds. (Maybe Russia, China) I haven’t lived in Canada but I did live in Africa, but given how UK has no speech or rights, spaceX would be sold to weapon makers there.
