Frankly not gonna have a go at the ground staff for the pitch, our batting’s been bad all series - this time no one could chip in with a match winning innings or bowling spell. And after the slabs of concrete that did nothing, I’d rather the pitch be too lively, easier to tone that down

It’s hard to believe but there was a cartoon about an immigrant mouse and it was seen as totally fine and not controversial and not woke because it was an aspirational and nice thing about America that people could come here and find a better life

Well, Ally, I think that’s the thing - realistically if England were going to win it was their batting that’d do it, not their bowling (regardless of the hype and even our injuries) #Ashes
