I tried Ibis and Krita and didn't like either of them lmao. If I were to do it I'd just jump right into CSP. I do like the friction the Apple Pencil gives me (I have a matte screen protector too). If I can do that with the Spen to avoid the glide that you mentioned that would help a lot.

Again, this is not something that is urgent or needs to happen. It's just something I would like to consider mainly just so that I can stay on Android and connect my phone to my tablet and all that jazz. If anyone has any experience with drawing on the Android side please let me know!

I tried to use a Samsung tablet for drawing many MANY years ago and it didn't feel right to me. I'm not sure how much the tech has changed or how much the spen improved but if it's gotten better I wouldn't mind finding a way to just try it out. I hear CSP has been the way to go lately.
