You are absolutely overthinking it. But please don’t let rejection or the possibility of it prevent you from being open. The world needs more honesty and people who are capable of growth.

Just be honest and put yourself out there. You’re coming from a place of sincerity. If their response is negative then the answer is that they aren’t ready.

I’ve been thinking about this actually. If someone reached out to me and said exactly that, I would give them another shot.
