...thing is, my purchases were easily a decade-plus after their original release. It's not like they couldn't have pressed Revolver and Rubber Soul with 14 tracks apiece.

Oh, we Americans were blameless for buying those terrible Capitol releases. I got suckered into (pains me to admit) the weak American versions of Revolver AND Rubber Soul.
