Though I would argue that Les Variations weren't bland (at least for their bunch of singles and debut lp). I imagine anyone who likes hard psych a la Savage Resurrection or Blue Cheer would dig this jammer.

Not a lot of info out there about UK post-punk band Past Seven Days who put out an early 7" on 4AD but then vanished, but here's a song from some rare tape comp. Guessing it's from their demo & while it's not as cool as their 7", it's still cool to hear.
