@ninjaworrier.bsky.social Hello
Amber. Nice meeting you in Tallinn. I don't know why, but I keep confusing The Blue Trail with the other Berlinale title by Ivan Fund, Il Mensaje. When you mentioned the former I thought you meant the latter. 🙃

The two biggest surprises at this year's Black Nights Film Festival.

The director who approached me saying, "You have a great shirt." I wasn't wearing a shirt but he was referring to a pic of me at a party from last year's fest.

Still, even more surprising was when I was asked if I run a gun shop.

Shu Qi at the press conference for her first film as a director. It's called Girl (Nühai), and was surprisingly good. Especially, the cinematography by Jing-Pin Yu. #Venezia82 Stay tuned for the review.

I reviewed Lav Diaz's #Magellan, which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival in the Première section. It's shockingly short by Diaz's standards, at a mere 165 minutes.

A review of Resurrection. The third film by Bi Gan, which premiered in the 2025 Festival de Cannes competition. Some critics labelled it a masterful reflection on cinema. I am not so sure. #Cannes2025
