Spinning yarn the old fashioned way with a distaff and spindle, or spinning wheel. Taking raw fibres through each process, slowly, step by step, to finished article. Growing dye plants for natural colour and wild flowers for the bees and butterflies. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
Thank you. I’ve always enjoyed knitting lace patterns and this particular stitch is an easy one to memorise.

Dyer’s chamomile gives an excellent yellow and also gives the best green in my opinion, when used to overdye woad or indigo.
