IMO a collab stream NEEDS a gimmick 95% of the time to be interesting to viewers, esp. those with ADHD.
Quiet, cozy collabs are nice to do whenever, but loud energetic ones need a reason to exist. If I get invited to collab with someone, I usually don't like to stream my end if I don't have to.
