very very VERY early costume select menu ft. thomas the tallarico engine

recently I figured out a way to make the process of adding these palettes a hell of a lot faster and almost entirely automated, so I was able to pump this out very quickly

One of my favourite obscure game facts is how Myth Makers Super Kart GP got an enhanced version with extra content exclusively for the Italian PS2 release

Fucking Data Design Interactive, of all people, revised one of their games to add more content and make other changes.

Halloween (1978)

I watched this on Halloween cuz ofc I had to. Despite being such a simple movie that has been copied many times it holds up very well.

All the scares have great build-up and red herrings, and don't have to rely on blasting your ears to still be impactful, unlike modern horror.

Mortadelo y Filemón contra Jimmy el Cachondo

I've watched this movie hundreds of times and it never gets old as its one of the funniest movies I've ever seen, with pretty much every joke landing.

It also looks great and hasn't aged a bit, it gives more recent animated movies a run for their money.

Rayman 2 (PS1)

This version is infamous for cutting content but really, all of that content was bad and/or superfluous, it makes for a better paced and more enjoyable game IMO.

I also take the proper voice acting over the gibberish any day of the week, makes the generic mediocre plot less dull.

#happyhalloween! After a few weeks taking a break I came back to work on #Blutkapelle, polished up the text boxes, added new ducking animations, touched up the Corkscrew Spin mechanic and added a new Broom Dive move, tho it's still very rough and missing some mechanics

Bubsy 4D (Demo)

I knew I wasn't going to like this but it was somehow worse than I expected. The color palettes are super bright and often blend into each other, the level design is incredibly basic and encourages you to skip and not engage with most of it anyway. The camera gets stuck often too.

Every time I play this game I understand less where all the hype comes from. Sure, it has some cool ideas and on paper could be a really good game, but almost everything is so janky, amateurish and poorly executed. Its stupidly short and easy too. At least the music is very good.
