One of the funniest changes I can think FromSoft made between DS1 and DS2 is that tapping the dodge button on ladders no longer makes you slide down them. Instead you just fall off. It would be like if they swapped the aim and fire buttons for bows…wait a minute.

I played Elden Ring Nightreign and it is EXHAUSTING. I have never played Fortnite, but I have played DBD and FromSoft needs to realize that this game is like them in theory but NOT in speed and intensity. Things need to be tweaked!

After seeing the yellow paint discourse crop up again, I think the actual issue is that AAA games need it to meet deadlines and budget constraints while being as frictionless as possible. It feels like design made for money rather than gameplay even if it’s not bad per se. That leaves a sour taste.
