First dive of 2026. Kevin found this little octo buried in the sand. Seemed to want to be left alone so we skipped the usual finger wiggling and went on our way

Lost my dive buddies when I stumbled upon this little guy in the sand. Think I might have been interrupting his lunch 😬

Boxing Day dive. Pretty quiet both above and below the surface. All the usual critters must be at the mall shopping for Boxing Day deals

Tiny grunt sculpin the size of a thumb, a gunnel and a sailfin sculpin

Decorator crab, kind of going overboard for the holidays

Just when you drop down there's an overhang at around 60' where a bunch of decorated warbonnets live. This one came out to say hello, but was soon blown off the wall by Best Friend Matt's bubbles

Ventured up into the saddle between the cut and the bay while the tide was high enough. We don’t normally spend a lot of time up there, but there are things to see

Uneventful dive in not so great visibility. Only thing of interest was this Buffalo sculpin doing what it could to blend in

Amazing visibility. Found one snoozing octo and looked for others in the sand but didn’t find any. Tons of pipe fish though

Grunt sculpin pretending it's a barnacle, but we're not fooled.

Found a couple moon snails on the way back from the wolf eels, and an itty bitty sculpin of some sort

Stopped in to visit the wolf eels

1900th dive 🥳

Nothing super cool to see, other than a buffalo sculpin in the sand and a Puget Sound king crab and red Irish lord hanging upside down from the overhang where the warbonnets usually are (but weren't today).

Puget Sound king crab, some type of gunnel and a couple of nidibranchs

Kevin and Katie happened upon this one, who seemed fairly determined to get at something under the rock and is the reason for all the silt — it wasn’t us!

When they’re this big, I don’t offer a finger to grab on to 😬

Went to visit the wolf eels but miscalculated our entry point so ended up way past them. Found one on the way back but no sign of the other two

Couple of juvenile Puget Sound king crabs, what I think is a Red Irish Lord (well camouflaged), grunt sculpin in a barnacle, some giant dendronatids and a sleepy octopus

This one didn’t want to grab a finger either, yet kept swimming towards me so I guess it found me interesting in a non-tactile way

Chris found this little guy in the sand. While it wasn’t quite ready to touch, it was genuinely curious
