The "don't earn enough" headline makes it sound as if they don't work hard enough. I much prefer the clearer "working households can't afford a minimal quality of life."

One small silver lining in all of this is that I'm finding quite a few new congresspeople to admire. They stand out like bright stars against the dark background of their colleagues.
