Like amazed at the assumptions that women are the ones to give up careers for a marriage

The latest series of love is blind (UK) definitely demonstrates that the patriarchy is very much still alive and with us

It’s been a longggg start to the academic year, but in the last two days students nominated me in their union teaching awards across three categories! Outstanding for inclusive teaching, teacher of the year and outstanding for employability teaching. Fuzzy feels a plenty.

Today I also realised I’ve been an academic longer than I was an archivist, which is weird. I miss getting to know people by sorting and describing their things (but also I cannot claim to have been a good cataloguer so that is nostalgia speaking)

Come on, give me the meta analysis. My partner showed me the blurb and I immediately set my expectations at “bet that’s problematic”… but I haven’t watched it yet
